AHP Newcomers’ Reception

If you are new to AHP or this is your first AHP conference, plan to attend the Newcomer’s Reception to meet the AHP Canada Cabinet, the Health Care in Bloom Conference Committee and other newcomers.

Opening Reception
Sunday May 15, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Canadian Museum of Civilization.

Conference attendees will be shuttled by bus at 5:30 p.m. to the Canadian Museum of Civilization located across the Ottawa River in beautiful Gatineau, Quebec. At 6 pm guests will be treated to a cocktail reception located in the majestic Grand Hall – the architectural centrepiece of the Museum, which houses an exhibition of six Pacific coast Indian house facades, including spectacular totem poles, connected by a shoreline and boardwalk. The forest backdrop, which stretches the entire length of the Hall, is a scrim with the largest colour photograph in the world. The cultural experience will continue at 7 p.m. with a private showing at the IMAX Theatre. IMAX is the ultimate movie experience, with crystal clear images up to eight stories high, and wrap-around digital surround sound, IMAX takes you to places you only imagined.
