Hotel Reservations
The conference will be held at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel. The hotel is offering AHP conference attendees a special rate of $159.00–$249.00, plus tax, depending on room type. To make reservations, call the hotel at (800) 943-6760 or (902) 421-1700 and identify yourself as an Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) conference attendee.

Please be advised
The AHP room block special room rates apply to the nights of April 13–15, 2008. AHP has reserved a limited number of rooms at the special rate. Please make your room reservations as soon as possible. The hotel deadline for the special hotel rate is March 12, 2008. If all hotel rooms reserved at the special rate are sold prior to this date, AHP can not guarantee availability of additional special rated rooms. Please contact the hotel directly for rates and information.

Registration Policy
To qualify for the early bird rate, your registration and payment must be postmarked no later than March 14, 2008. Registration forms will not be processed without payment.

Registration Includes
Full conference registration starts with the opening reception on April 13th and includes: education sessions, the continental breakfast and lunch on April 14th; and continental breakfast and lunch and the banquet dinner on April 15th. The single day registration includes the education sessions for the selected day of registration and the meal(s) that are scheduled for that day only. Tickets for meals on other days may be purchased.

Lobster Dinner and Brewery Dinner
The optional events on Monday, April 14th are $65 per person (guests welcome). There are a limited number of tickets available for each event and they are on a first paid, first reserved basis. Tickets for this event are non-refundable.

Guest Tickets
If you would like to bring a guest to the opening reception, breakfasts, or lunches, you may purchase additional meal tickets. Tickets can be purchased before the conference or on-site.

Conference Dress
The conference dress is business casual. Consider bringing a jacket or sweater, as meeting room temperatures can fluctuate. The Awards Dinner dress is business professional.

Weather
The average daytime temperature in April is 8 ˚C and in the evenings 2 ˚C. Remember to bring a light sweater or jacket for the air-conditioned meeting rooms.

Transportation
Halifax International Airport—YHZ. You can call the airport (902) 873 4422 for more information on travel. Rental car facilities and taxi service is available from the airport to the hotel.

Driving Directions
Driving directions from the airport: Take highway 102 south to the Dartmouth turn off, MacKay Bridge. Cross MacKay Bridge and take the Barrington Street exit. Follow Barrington to George Street. Take left off George Street. Take a left off Water Street. Hotel is on the right just before the Casino.
